Cargo Surveyor

Responsibilities
- Perform independent cargo surveys without any direct supervision in accordance with company procedures.
- Understand client’s requirements/formal instructions and clarify with Supervisor if in doubt.
- Physically sample, measure, and take temperatures of vessel’s tanks and shore tanks utilising a variety of methods stated in company’s Operating Procedures.
- Calculate and report quantities.
- Accurately complete all required reports and forms.
- Provide written and verbal updates to customer representatives.
- Compile final report / documentation
- Work in cooperation with client’s representatives, Customs, vessel personnel ensuring that client requirements are met.
- Maintain regular communication with office staff with reference to job status, problems, concerns, etc.
- Maintain knowledge and adhere to the latest industry and client procedures and standards as provided by the company.
- Ensure all measuring equipment and other equipment’s used for work are having valid calibration status.
Other Duties and Requirements
- Maintain confidentiality, specifically, do not disclose any proprietary information and data in the performance of your work duties.
- Works within all company policies and procedures.
- Ensure that required qualifications, inductions and licences are current at all times.
- Other tasks as directed by the Operations Manager.
Qualification Requirements

- At least 2 years experience as a surveyor or in a similar role
- Valid International passport
- Current European Drivers Licence
- Successful in personally managing delivery against customer requirements
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal
- Ability to work under pressure and outside standard working hours
- Ability to work independently
- Computer Knowledge
