Cargo Surveyor

Rotterdam, Netherlands

As a Liquid cargo surveyor you will carry out inspections as per the latest industry standards and requirements. You will mostly be deployed in name of the leading international inspection companies in the ARA area, and you will be working in shifts.

Responsibilities

– Inspection of Crude Oil, Mineral Oil Products, Chemicals, Edible Oils
– Measuring and sampling shore tanks, tanker barges and tanker vessels
– Pre-inspection of cargo hoses

Other Duties and Requirements

  • Maintain confidentiality, specifically, do not disclose any proprietary information and data in the performance of your work duties.
  • Works within all company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that required qualifications, inductions and licences are current at all times.
  •  Other tasks as directed by the Operation Manager.

Qualification Requirements

    • At least 2 years experience as a surveyor or in a similar role
    • Valid International passport
    • Current European Drivers Licence
    • Good social and technical communication skills in English and preferably also in Dutch
    • Experience in Chemicals, Gas and/or Edible Oils is an advantage
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal
    • Ability to work under pressure and outside standard working hours
    • Ability to work independently
    • Certified VCA and IFIA is an advantage.
    • Computer Knowledge
